About Muskie Rush Charters
Catch & Release
Hunting giant muskie in the famous 1000 Islands area of
the St. Lawrence River has been a passion of mine for
many years. Native to the region, I long ago learned to
appreciate these beautiful Canadian Shield waters which
for eons the First Nations People referred to as the
"Garden of the Great Spirit." The capture of a muskie
anywhere in North America is usually an exhilarating
experience, but the catch and release of a 1000 Islands
trophy is truly a very special event.

Although we specialize in trophy muskie fishing at
Muskie Rush Charters, we also guide for northern pike,
walleye, lake trout and bass on the various waters which
surround our home port of Gananoque, Ontario. Whether
casting, or trolling utilizing planer boards and down
riggers, we can customize an adventure that will meet
your needs and experience level.

I have over 20 years experience fishing for muskie. I
have caught and released hundreds, several of which
exceeded 50" in length. A few of my accomplishments
include three 1st place finishes at Muskies Canada live
release tournaments and two CanAm largest fish awards.

One of the areas of the St Lawrence we fish is the
legendary 40 Acre Shoal. This vast expanse of water
consistently produces monster fish. Our largest muskie
measured 60" X 26" and if weighed would have likely
tipped the scales at approximately 51 lbs. Thanks in great
part to the widely-adopted "Catch & Release" philosophy,
the St. Lawrence River muskie population is presently in
good shape and may even hold the next world record.
All Muskie are catch and release only. With a limited
number of Muskie per area, catch and release is the
only way to assure a trophy fishery for the future.
If you would like to preserve your memories with a
mount. I can recommend a taxidermist who will
build a realistic graphite reproduction.
Measurements and quality digital photographs will
insure your accurate replica.
